Wedding at Venue at the Grove in Phoenix, Arizona
As Phoenix based wedding videographers, filming a wedding at Venue at the Grove was an incredible experience. The venue is truly a hidden treasure, tucked away in South Phoenix close to the South Mountain Park and Preserve.
Our day started as we arrived on site to find ample parking within close proximity to the dressing room suites and both the indoor and outdoor event spaces. Both the Bride and Groom’s dressing areas hold plenty of room for each side of the party to complete final touch-ups and last minute wardrobe changes. Each suite is separated perfectly from one another to protect the couple from catching any sneak peeks before their big moment and also provides climate control to escape the Arizona heat. The couple’s first touch was carried out just behind the Groom’s dressing suite where there is a covered barn structure that provides the perfect backdrop for this very special, emotion filled moment. Another great feature of this area of the property is the separation from the main ceremony and reception sites. Next, the beautiful iron gates that separate the barn and garden area from the ceremony allow for a dramatic grand entrance of the bride and wedding party as they make their way down the aisle. Finally, the moment everyone is waiting for…the nuptials! As the couple stands amongst the towering pecan trees with their loved ones looking on in great support and love, the moments spent here are absolutely dreamy. Following the ceremony, guests were lead to the secluded barn and garden area previously mentioned and we hijacked the couple, staying within the grove to capture our one-on-one shots with them and also their family. The separated areas allowed for a great cocktail hour location as it kept guest separated from staff as they prepared for the reception and most importantly gave privacy to the couple as they worked with us. Finally, the reception was held outside on an amazing brick patio with food served in the venue’s indoor reception space—located immediately next to the outdoor reception site. We spend the rest of the evening under the stars accompanied by overhead strings of lights and thousands of twinkling lights that danced within the pecan trees. It was from here guests sent the couple off through a sparkler lined tunnel in the parking lot of the venue and wished them farewell.
Overall, the Venue at the Grove is extremely accommodating to their staff and vendors. As wedding
videographers we felt the support of the organization and put this venue as our favorite place to film in Phoenix, so far.
